We are constantly meeting with statements that such-and-such a thing, which is revealed in Scripture, cannot be true, because it is inconsistent with the modern idea of the benevolence of God. Our only answer to the cavillet is, "Canst thou by searching find out God? canst thou find out the Almighty unto perfection?"
