Isaiah 44:8. Fear ye not, neither be afraid: have not I told thee from that time, and have declared it? ye are even my witnesses. Is there a God besides me? yea, there is no God; I know not any.
God himself, who knoweth all things, knows of no other God beside himself indeed there is no other, and there can be no other. The unity of the Godhead must be accepted by us; we cannot think of there being two Gods, since the one living and true God filleth all space. Now the Lord, through the prophet, holds up to ridicule the unreasonableness and folly of those who worship graven images.
