John 4:18. For thou hast had five husbands; and he whom thou now hast is not thy husband: in that saidst thou truly.
What an exposure of the life she was living! Jesus laid bare what she and her companion in sin may have thought that no man knew: "He whom thou now hast is not thy husband: in that saidst thou truly."
